2. How the Extension Works

Our extension operates with complete privacy protection:

Data Processing

Local Only: All processing happens entirely within your browser
Temporary Access: ChatGPT conversation content is accessed only when you click "Export"
Immediate Disposal: Content is processed and immediately discarded after export
No Storage: No data is saved or retained by the extension

Export Process

You visit ChatGPT and start a conversation
You click the extension icon and choose an export format
The extension reads the conversation content from your browser tab
Content is formatted according to your chosen export type (PDF, HTML, etc.)
The formatted file is downloaded directly to your device
All processed data is immediately discarded

3. Permissions Explained

We use Chrome permissions only for core functionality:

activeTab: Access the ChatGPT tab you're currently viewing
downloads: Save exported files to your Downloads folder
scripting: Read conversation content for export processing
debugger: Generate high-quality PDF exports using Chrome's built-in renderer
tabs: Manage browser tabs for export functionality
management: Verify extension authenticity for security

⚡ Zero Server Communication

This extension does not communicate with any external servers. Everything happens locally on your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.

No Data Collection: Can't lose what we don't have
Local Processing: No network transmission of sensitive data
